How do we go about obtaining your consent?

We collect, use and share your personal data either with your consent or within the framework of the law. Your consent may be obtained by various methods in various situations.

Directly from you

Prior to undergoing any psychometric testing, Ngenio will first ask you to directly consent.

Should we wish to use your personal data for any other purpose than what was specified at the time of that consent or that falls outside of standard lawful use, we would then ask for further consent.

Via a third party

We might receive your personal data from a third party. In such cases, all relevant privacy laws will be followed.

If you supply us with another person’s personal data, you are responsible for duly obtaining their consent to do so.

Who do we share your personal data with?

We might share your personal data with our suppliers and service providers when we outsource tasks to other companies. In these circumstances and in order to protect any personal data shared, third parties will be expected to sign written agreements which stipulate the need to take appropriate security measures and follow standard practices and procedures for the protection of your privacy.

How long do we store your personal data for?

We retain your personal data only as long as we need it to fulfill the purposes outlined herein, unless the law requires otherwise.

Where do we store your personal data?

Personal data is currently stored in the province of Québec (Canada). Your data may be held and used outside of Québec. Consequently, this means that your personal data may be sent or held outside of your own country of residence or your own province (or state) of residence where privacy laws differ. Whenever your data is shared outside of Québec, we will put measures in place to ensure the data is adequately protected. Data access, removal and correction rights

You may request a copy of any personal data held about you and/or ask to obtain access to it. You may ask us to forward your personal data to an authorized party, subject to certain conditions. For questionnaire respondents, your request will be sent to your employer.

You may also request information on the source of your personal data (when you did not provide it yourself), as well as the names of people who have access to your data and how long it has been held.

In the majority of cases, withdrawing your consent means we can no longer process psychometric assessments of you. Beyond this, whenever we ask for consent, we will always inform you of the consequences of refusing to consent.
